Meet Gaby the heart behind Be.Artful Studio.
Hi, I’m Gaby — an artist, creator, dreamer, and the heart behind Be.Artful Studio.
Since I was little, creativity has been a huge part of who I am. I have always loved challenges, learning new things, and creating with my hands. For me, there has never been such a thing as “I can’t do it.” If something inspires me, I learn it, create it, and find a way to turn it into something beautiful.
Many people describe me as “a chest full of skills” because I love doing a little bit of everything. I enjoy transforming furniture, creating handmade projects, painting with watercolor and acrylics, building creative spaces, and bringing ideas to life through art.
Some of my artwork and paintings have been selected for important art exhibitions, including The Heart Exhibit at the Bath House Cultural Center. I have also participated in the State Fair of Texas twice, where my work was recognized with a Second Place award and an Honorable Mention.
Although creativity has always been part of my life, art became something much deeper during the last five years. My life changed when my son was born with a disability, and during some of the hardest moments between hospitals and medical appointments, painting became my therapy.
I would take my paints with me to the hospital, and little by little, art became a place of healing, peace, and hope for me. That season completely transformed me and helped me realize that I wanted to create art forever.
In Mexico, I studied Architecture at Universidad del Valle de México, and in the United States I earned an Associate Degree in Web Design. Because of this, I have a strong foundation in design, composition, balance, creativity, and visual structure — elements that deeply influence all of my artwork and creative projects.
